Mondelliani per il pianeta Mondelliani for our planet

We are a local reality, but we feel part of the global community that today more than ever is called to act and be part of the change for a more sustainable world.

We are aware of the impact we can have on social and environmental progress and for this reason we are committed to a path of awareness and responsibility that involves all "Mondelliani".

MONDELLIANI IS A CLIMATE PIONEER

In partnership con Green Future Project, a platform that connects companies and individuals with climate projects and solutions, Mondelliani, as CLIMATE PIONEER, contributes to the preservation of biodiversity through the reforestation of important areas in Madagascar, and forest protection and conservation in the Canandé Reserve in Ecuador.

WHY MONDELLIANI AND GREEN FUTURE PROJECT?

Fighting all together for a more sustainable world and for the future of our children is something that we can no longer waive or delegate to anyone. Each of us must act consciously and proactively for the good of Our Planet.
Federico Mondello, CEO and Creative Director

TOGETHER WE PLANTED
500 TREES

ONE TREE, MANY BENEFITS.

Planting a tree means not only helping to restore the ecosystem of carbon-rich forests destroyed by deforestation, but also helping to create jobs for local populations involved in reforestation projects. Furthermore, it helps to preserve the animal and plant species that inhabit these territories by guaranteeing greater biodiversity, which is fundamental for our ecosystem and reduces the hydrogeological risk caused by deforestation.

PERCHIT'S WE HAVE CHOSEN TO SUPPORT PROJECTS IN MADAGASCAR, AND IN ECUADOR

These territories are among the regions with the highest biodiversity density on the planet, hosting the largest number of species of mammals, reptiles, birds and fish worldwide. Madagascar, before deforestation, was home to the highest number of mangroves in the world.

Mangroves have an immense capacity for absorb carbon dioxide, 12.3 kg of CO2 per year in their first 10 years of life and represent very important natural basins for carbon storage. Mangroves are a key part of coastal ecosystems and can protect against storms and tsunamis. Living partially immersed in water, they do not subtract land from agriculture.

The Canandé reserve in Ecuador is among the first in the world for biodiversity. Protecting it from deforestation is vital to prevent the extinction of a third of the region's species and cause the release of millions of tons of CO2. One hectare of Amazon rainforest can store over 100 tons of CO2 in a year.
